New favorite song.

I found this song thanks to one of the various feeds coming in, and I loved it from the first time I played it. The video is fantastic. I completely agree with the message of being yourself and not needing to fit some model of beauty that requires women to transform themselves into something plastic and beyond human, although I did find the images in the video somewhat self-contradictory. I love the wild artistry from the video.

As happens to me when I love a song, I play it over and over and over, and drive everyone crazy with it until it has saturated my being with it’s goodness. I have to admit, with this song, for some reason, I feel kind of like it’s killing my soul. Could be other soul-killing influences in my life right now, but I’m definitely reacting to this song…
